Episode #169. Welcome back to a very special episode of Better Than Fiction! On April 30th during Planet Comic Con in Kansas City, DLNelson and Scott Sackett had the pleasure of interviewing Sara Frazetta of the Frazetta Girls (granddaughter of legend Frank Frazetta) and award-winning author-historian J. David Spurlock of Vanguard Productions, official publisher of Frank Frazetta. Our interview covers a variety of subjects about not only Frank Frazetta's work but also the Frazetta Girls mission to keep his memory alive through his art. J. David Spurlock includes some classic Frank Frazetta stories and talks about his publishing relationship with the Frazetta family. We thank both Sara and David for taking time out of their very busy con schedule to make time for this interview.

Better Than Fiction Episode #168! Simon and Kirby, Wilson and Ghost in the Shell!

Episode #168! This week we have a Super-Sized episode of "Cool Stuff"! First up DL talks about the Image Comics series "Proof". Next up Barry has the Daniel Clowes book "Wilson" (which is soon to be a motion picture). After that Scott tells us about the movie "ChungKing Express". Up next, DL has the wonderful over-sized hardcover "The Art of the Simon and Kirby Studio". Barry then talks about "The Art of Doug Sneyd". On his second pass Scott gushes on "Empress" by Mark Miller and Stuart Immonen. On his final pick of the evening DL talks a little 60's Vegas with "The Rat Pack - The Original Bad Boys". Barry talks reprint editions with the hardcover set "The Ted McKeever Library". To finish this episode Scott talks about the new live-action movie "Ghost in the Shell". That is a lot of pop-culture goodness!
