After that he talks about his recent reads of "The Complete Machine Man" by Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, "2001 A Space Odyssey" - Treasury Edition and "2001 A Space Odyssey" the series. Next up, Scott has "Tales from the Loop' by Simon Stalenhag. After that, Barry has "The Best Comics Of The Decade 1980-1990 vol.2" from Fantagraphics Books. Next up is "Hard Boiled Defective Stories" by Charles Burns brought to the table by DL. And to close down this episode Barry has "The Goon Library edition vol.5" by Eric Powell. Give us a listen!

Better Than Fiction Episode #179! Wonder Woman, The Red Turtle and Fargo!

Episode #179! This week we make it an all video episode. To start us off Barry has three movies to share. First up he talks about his recent viewing of "Wonder Woman". After that he gushes over the new video release of "The Red Turtle". For his last movie he speaks highly of Alejandro Jodorowsky's "Endless Poetry". Next up DL talks about seeing "Get Out". For Scott's turn he has "The James Dean Story" by Robert Altman. We conclude this episode with some TV talk. We do season 3 wrap-ups of "Fargo" and "Better Call Saul". We also talk about the first episodes of "Preacher" season 2. Give us a listen!

Better Than Fiction Episode #178! San Diego Comic-Con, Fatale and Rise of the Dungeon Master!

Episode #178! On this episode we start off with some talk about the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. After that we change gears to something positive. First up, Barry tells us about Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips' fine work on "Fatale" and "The Fade Out". Next up, Scott has the graphic novel "Rise of the Dungeon Master" by David Kushner. To close out this weeks episode DL has "King Size Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot" and "Big Damn Hard Boiled". These two gigantic books by Frank Miller and Geof Darrow feature black and white artwork with no word balloons. Check us out!
