Episode #429! DLNelson and Scott Sackett are back with more Cool Stuff! DL brings two biographical books to the table this week. First up is They Called Us Enemy which chronicles George Takei and his family's time spent in a WWII internment camp. After that is writer/artist Derf Backderf's My Friend Dahmer. Backderf mixes personal memories, friend's accounts and researched information to tell the story of high school student Jeffrey Dahmer. Scott brings another documentary to the table this week. Until The Wheels Fall Off features never-before-seen footage and interviews with skateboarding legend Tony Hawk. Check it out!

 Episode #428!  This week's focus is Cool Stuff! First up, we talk about seeing Kurt Russell at The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Mr. Russell was in town to be inducted into "The Cowboy Hall Of Fame" as a western performer. During the Q&A he talked a little about his start in acting and the western movies he's been involved with. After that, Scott talks about the comic Flashpoint Unwrapped by Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert. DL brings Julie Doucet's autobiographical account of living in NYC to the podcast. My New York Diary tells her story as a young woman struggling to create art with a very challenging environment and circumstances. Check it out!

Better Than Fiction Episode #427! Iron Man Demon In A Bottle!

 Episode #427! All-new episode! This week Scott Sackett and DLNelson focus on a Marvel Bronze Age classic. Iron Man Demon In A Bottle was written by David Michelinie and Bob Layton with art by John Romita, Jr., Bob Layton, and Carmine Infantino. The story arc ran in Iron Man issues 120 through 128 in 1979. We talk in depth about the nine issue arc that pushed a hero into dark places and set the groundwork for future Tony Stark/Iron Man stories. Give it a listen!
